Evergreen Cabins & Mercantile — Frequently Asked Questions

RESERVATIONS

How do I make a reservation? Contact us directly to book your cabin. A 50% deposit is charged to your credit card at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is due at check-in by credit card or cash.

​

What is the minimum stay? We require a two-night minimum on all reservations. Holiday weekends require a three-night minimum.

Is there an age requirement? Yes. You must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin, and the person who made the reservation must be present at check-in.

Is there a discount for longer stays? Yes! Stay 5 or more consecutive nights in the same cabin and receive 10% off your stay.

 

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

What time is check-in and check-out? Check-in is no earlier than 4:00 PM. Check-out is no later than 10:30 AM. No exceptions. Early check-in or late check-out will result in an additional half-night charge.

What if I arrive after hours? A white envelope with your name, cabin key, and map will be hanging at the entrance to the Mercantile. Please visit the office by 11:00 AM the next morning to complete your paperwork. Failure to do so by end of business will result in a $35.00 late processing fee.

What do I need to bring to check-in? Please bring a valid driver's license and a credit card. Your credit card will be kept on file as a security deposit against any damages.

CABINS & AMENITIES

What is provided in the cabins? All cabins are stocked with linens, a coffee pot, toaster, microwave, dishes, silverware, pots & pans, glassware, kitchen utensils, and hairdryers. A starter roll of paper towels and toilet paper is also provided.

What do I need to bring? Guests are responsible for bringing their own soap, paper products, garbage bags, and additional towels for the kitchen and bath.

Is TV available? Yes, TV service is available in all cabins.

Can I smoke in the cabin? No. Smoking is not permitted inside any cabin. Outdoor and porch smoking is allowed, but please use the provided container for safe disposal of cigarette butts. Smoking indoors will result in a $150.00 deep cleaning charge.

Are pets allowed? Dogs are welcome at $15.00 extra per night per dog. All dogs must be leashed or tied at all times, and owners must clean up after them. Pets are not permitted on furniture or in the shower/tub. Undeclared dogs will be charged at double the rate ($20.00 per night per dog). Additional cleaning fees may apply.

Can we bring a tent, camper, or RV? No. Tents, campers, and RVs are not permitted on the grounds.

Are kegs allowed? No. Kegs are not permitted. Alcohol is allowed but should not be prominently displayed. We are a family-oriented resort. Loud or disruptive behavior is not tolerated and may result in being asked to leave without a refund.

CANCELLATIONS

What is your cancellation policy? All cancellations are subject to our no-refund policy. If you cancel at least 30 days before your arrival, you may reschedule your reservation within one year at no penalty, provided a cabin is available.

​

What about bad weather? Bad weather alone is not a valid reason for cancellation. However, if Interstate 80 is closed due to weather conditions, we will transfer your reservation to any available date within one year.

​

GROUPS

We have a large group renting multiple cabins. How does that work? One person should be designated to assign cabins and collect payment for the group. That person assumes full financial and personal responsibility for all members of the party. No keys will be distributed until the full balance is paid.
